Ten-Week Online Reading Group: Kabbalistic Contemplations–Commencing January 2022

Z’ev ben Shimon Halevi

IN THE EARLY ‘80s, a small group of companions decided to read Z’ev ben Shimon Halevi’s (Warren Kenton) book, Adam and the Kabbalistic Tree. We met every Tuesday evening around 8:00 pm in our home at Greencroft Gardens to read a chapter of this book, paragraph by paragraph, sharing comments, or observations, or gleaned insights. Sometimes the conversations were so rich we would cover one or two pages. On many occasions Warren would join us and sit on the sofa, listening to us reading his book. At times, when we came upon more complex passages, and we couldn’t work it out, we were able to say, “Warren what do you mean by this?” He would then explain. Over the years we also read A Kabbalistic Universe under his watchful eye.

In this manner, Joanna and I would like to invite you to join us in reading Warren’s last book, Kabbalistic Contemplations. We will ask you to read two contemplations before each session so we can discuss and share our observations as we proceed, allowing the pace of the session to be dictated by the dynamic of the conversation and insights.

OUR FREE ONLINE SESSIONS will commence in January 2022, for a period of ten, fortnightly sessions (dates below) in the first instance, after which time we will decide, as a group, if we wish to continue. Please note these sessions will not be recorded.

THURSDAYS @ 19:00–20:00 hrs (London Time).
