During the past few decades there has been a growing interest in drawing together the principles of spiritual traditions with the material sciences. Many scientists have concluded, through their research and experiences that the boundaries defining matter are not as stable and fixed as previously thought, consequently old theories are being re-examined in the light of new discoveries.
The new biology is one such revolutionary development. It sheds a different light on what we think of as matter, DNA and other hereditary factors.
The task of connecting these new explorations with the metaphysics of the Tree of Life and Jacob’s Ladder is a fascinating and exciting Kabbalistic adventure. I have written about this research in an article in Harvest of the Tree of Life (a collection of writings honouring Z’ev ben Shimon Halevi and his teaching over 30 years in the Netherlands) and also use it in my teaching in Holland.

Mike Bais from Holland is a Kabbalist, physiotherapist, holistic therapist and University lecturer. He has run his own organisation, Avalon, for over 15 years and followed the work of Z’ev ben Shimon Halevi (Warren Kenton) for over 17 years.
He is a tutor in the Kabbalah Society Holland (Utrecht) and has run his own group for 7 years, also teaching in international seminars. He sees the great value of integrating Kabbalah with contemporary sciences, music, art and ordinary, daily life.
