Programme

7pm prompt - 8.30pm -- doors open 6.30pm.

1. Introduction - 6 March 2006

In this exposition the general history of the tradition is set out. This is followed by an outline of its basic principles, metaphysics and practices. Using ancient, medieval and modern images, an overall impression of the mystical axis of Judaism is presented in its essential form so as to be intelligible for our generation.

2. Macrocosm - 20 March 2006

Here the Jacob's Ladder of Existence is examined in detail. Beginning with the origin of Divine manifestation, the primordial world is seen to give rise to the three lower realms of Creation, Formation and Action. The inhabitants of the material dimension, together with those of Hell, Paradise and Heaven are then shown to be part of a Divine plan, with humanity as the pivotal element.

3. Microcosm - 10 April 2006

In this talk the fourfold composition of the human body, psyche and spirit is set out. The descent from the Divine realm is seen as a prelude to. the journey of ascent through personal and collective evolution. The need for schools of the soul and spirit is explored. So too is the path of completion of one's destiny in full Self-realisation as a reflection of the Absolute.
